China has become a serious contender for Bangladeshi students, especially in engineering, medicine and technology. Its universities climb the world rankings every year, while the Chinese Government Scholarship and provincial awards routinely cover full tuition, hostel accommodation and a monthly stipend โ a level of funding no other destination offers at this scale. English-medium programmes, modern campuses and DhakaโChina flight connections of just a few hours complete the picture.
Why China?
- CSC and provincial scholarships often cover tuition, hostel and stipend
- English-medium engineering, MBBS and IT programmes widely available
- Tuition and living costs among the lowest of any major destination
- Rapidly rising universities with world-class laboratories
- Short, affordable flights home to Dhaka
Entry requirements

Postgraduate
- Relevant bachelor's degree with CGPA 3.0+ for scholarship competitiveness
- IELTS 6.0โ6.5 or MOI, depending on university and programme
- Study plan or research proposal and two academic references
- A professor's acceptance letter greatly strengthens CSC scholarship applications
- Scholarship rounds run roughly November to April for the September intake
Work rights & post-study options
Student visa holders may not take formal employment, though universities can approve on-campus roles and internships linked to your study. Because scholarships so often cover tuition, hostel and a stipend, most Bangladeshi students in China budget without part-time income.
Frequently asked questions
How realistic is a full scholarship in China?
More realistic than anywhere else we process. The Chinese Government Scholarship, provincial schemes and university awards together fund thousands of international students each year, and Bangladeshi applicants with solid grades and a well-prepared study plan win them regularly.
Do I need to learn Chinese?
Not for admission โ English-medium programmes in engineering, medicine and business are widespread. Universities include Mandarin classes in most degrees, and everyday basics make life easier, but your coursework can be entirely in English.
Is a Chinese MBBS recognised in Bangladesh?
Graduates of universities listed for English-medium MBBS can sit the BMDC registration examination on return, and many Skystar students have taken this route. We advise only universities with an established record with Bangladeshi medical students.
What does the X1 student visa require?
You will need the university's admission notice and the JW201 or JW202 form, a valid passport, medical examination report and supporting documents. Processing in Dhaka is straightforward once the university paperwork arrives, and we manage the file end to end.
