Work rights & post-study options
Student visa holders may work up to 48 hours per fortnight during study periods and unlimited hours during scheduled breaks. After graduating, the Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) typically grants around two years of full work rights, with longer periods for research degrees and regional graduates.
